My biggest accomplishment was learning how to work better in a team. My biggest struggle was learning how to do the action script. I liked that we got to work in teams because i could not have done this by myself. I didnt like the long days but it payed off in the end. To pay attention to every step. I liked the art in it the best Ryan did a very good job with it and i thought it was great.

Our practice presentation

We are going to do our practice presentation this week sometime. I hope we do good on it im still kind of confused on the action script thing but we got it. Our practice presentation wont be very good because we are not even close to being done we still have to get action scripts for everything but the car and i thought we were done with the sound but i guess not so it may not be very good.

overcoming the impossible

Yes. I was struggling with how to do the action script. Yes i have with a little bit of help from nick and steven. My goals for next week are to help get the rest of the presentation done. Yes i do now. We are all getting through this alot better now. Well i have accomplished the least amount of work but i finally got the action script done everyone else is doing great and accomplishing everything they need to. Our presentation should be very well when we are done. I am very confident in our game idea i still think it was a great idea it has been a little bit difficult but we are gettin it done.

Our Accomplishments

Our group has been doing a good job over all but i have not done the actionscript yet but other than that we have done everything steven still has to do something with the sound. I am havingtroubl figuring out how to do the whole action script thing but nick is going to help me and hopefully i will get it then. We have alot of stuff on our team page

Accomplishments

No we did not meet what we wanted to do because we were not working at the pace we wanted to be and should have been.We plan on having just about everything done next week and we will do it by working and trying to communicate better i am going to try my best to have the actions scripts done next week.

Assembling our game

The last two days we have bbeen working on assembling our game. We have been finishing up our game demo skeleton. We got our game demo skeleton done and we got our last part of our paper prototype added to our team page finally. I filled out parts of a layout sheet with Ryan.The layout sheet was easy but i did not understand what they were doing on the game demo skeleton. I feel like we are all trying but some of us just dont get what needs to be done because the others dont talk much. I plan on trying to figure out what i have to do.

Sound

Sound looks like it will be easy. We have to go to the website the video told us to go to and find the sound that were looking for. Then we are going to put it in flash in the sound library. After that we put it on the layer and thats it. Then we test our movie and hopefully it will work.Our main sound that we need is for the car.

Game Skeleton

We had a live session with meridith from New York she showed us an example of what we are going to do in flash and it was an hour long it really helped me with what we are doing. In the game skeleton its kinda hard but Mrs.Forinash and Mrs.Frenzel helped us from step to step. We put our layers in and modified them.

Drawing in Flash

For the past couple days we have been learning how to draw in flash and yesterday we started drawing our paper prototyping. It is not really that hard to do it just depends on what it is that your drawing. Most of our designs are easy to draw I think the hardest is a car but we didnt have to draw it our selves we got it off of microsoft word from the clip art tool. We are almost finished with the drawing part and i can not wait to start the next step towards finishing my game.

Planning your game

I got the action script role because I wanted it and no one else wanted to do it. No we are a very compatible team. I look forward to getting to search the web for the action scripts. We like cars and math so we put them together and we got our game idea like that.

Paper Prototyping Reflection

We finished our paper prototyping today we made our video. I enjoyed making it it was very fun. The whole process was i liked drawing and coming up with our ideas Ryan did a very good job with the art Nick was not here for the video today but he was a very big part of it and steven did a good job of holding the camera still.

Team expectations

The name of my team is the DOOR. My team members are RYAN NICK and STEVEN . I had a good idea of what to make our game about. I will be the action script person RYAN is the artist STEVEN is controlling the sounds and NICK is our team manager. We are going to focus on volume and vehicle simulation. Everyone agreed to do this subject. RYAN is the artist and im finding the recources and we are all confident with working with flash.

Game idea Reflection

We got on Adobe and wrote a report of 100-200 words about what we will make our game like . It was hard to get at first but then i found out that there were directions and after that it was pretty easy. It was hard to think of what i was going to make my game like but i eventually figured it out and im hoping that my game will be a good one. Game Idea

Mini game project

The last 3 days in class we have been learning how to use flash and how we use the action scripts to do a practice project on making a game you have to go to your wiki and copy the action scripts and paste them on the actions window and it made stuff move and keep score in our case we had to get the bunny and the carrot to move and if we got the bunny to get the carrot we got a point i can not wait to make our own game.

Blogs i follow

The reason i chose these blogs is because they were informative and gave great examples of mathmatical stuff. I hope these will help me with making my game about math. Whoever made these blogs is very intellegent they have things on there that i would never everever think of so check them out on my blogger profile.

Intro to flash

Flash looks hard but i think i can do it. I cant wait to start though because it will be fun to design our own games. The layers looks like the hardest part because you have to move alot of stuff around. I learned how to use all the tools in flash by reading the thing that tells you about flash so that will make it a little bit easier and i already have some experience with it from another teachers room.

Social issue reveiw

Yesterday, we looked at all the differrent genres of games and we were going to write about them but we went to the wrong edit. But there are very very many different genres like there was one called third world farmer and it was about a family farming for there life and making a bigger family and there are some people that actully have to do that in reallife situations .

Playing the game

I played Darfur is dying from the social issue genre and Jigsaw puzzle from the games students made. After i got done playing them i made a reveiw about them and posted it on my wiki.I like the way they desingned darfur is dy0ing because they based it on a real event. I think they could have made the steps to jigsaw puzzle easier but it was still a good game. They were both great games and i can niot wait to make a game myself.

Globaloria Week 2

We have done alot so far we have made our profiles and edited them. Like we have pictures videos Avatars and gadgets. We have a blog now of course and we have a blogger profile so we can blog about whats happening in globaloria and how we are doing and the progress we are getting done. It wasent hard its just a really long process and it gets aggravating sometimes but other than that its fun. I enjoyed looking at all the videos on viddler. Uploading the pictures and videos was alot easier than i thought it would be. I am having fun for the most part so far.

Blog Reveiw

Devins blog was very good he had polls and pictures from flash. He has graphs on there and statistics. He had something telling us about the mathmatical concept. he is making a cool game about social issues and it looks very exciting and i cant wait until its done so i can play it.
